My name is Richard Vantielcke ans I 'm a french freelance photographer living in Paris for the last decade.
I humblely :) define myself as a guardian of the legacy of surrealist painter Rene Magritte, whether in my work on urban architecture photography, conceptual photography or portrait and self-portrait photography.

J'ai été contacté en Mars dernier par la NHK (Télévision publique japonaise) afin de servir de fil conducteur dans une émission culturelle de 90mn consacrée au peintre Édouard Manet.
On me suit donc dans les rues de Paris (Les Halles, Pigalle, le métro) où j'assène des argumentaires fulgurants et absolument pertinents sur le travail du peintre Édouard Manet :)
L'émission a été diffusée au Japon le 6 et 16 juin 2010.

Vous trouverez dans le numéro 55 de Déclic photo du mois de novembre un dossier consacré aux portraits de nuit avec une interview de votre serviteur (accompagné de deux autres photographes).
Le dossier est plutôt bien réalisé et fait la part belle à plusieurs de mes portraits de nuit.

i've only had the chance, so far, to glance quickly through barely half your gallery... so many of your pieces are haunting, serene, surprising, beautifully considered and yet completely spontaneous. i will absolutely, positively be back!

Wow ! I'm absolutly not in a position to tell you what you have to do to improve your art !
I'm just an amateur photograph, as you.
My only advice would be :
- look at other photographer work every day
- experiment... try something different...
- don't listen to people advices
- find your way (it takes time...)
...
